Are You Everywhere?
Posted in Photography by dubAs many of you faithful readers can attest, I frequently submit work to JPG Magazine. One of these days I hope to find myself in complete shock when I hear that a photo or article has been published. Were you all aware of 8020’s additional project: Everywhere Magazine?
Everywhere is a nifty side project and I have to admit, that when I first saw the launch I was uninspired. It did not move me at all. But after sifting through much of the site, I have really come to like it. Not only does it allow for photographers to become involved with the same user-driven system that powers JPG, but it allows writing as well. Not that JPG does not, it is just that I feel Everywhere seems to encourage more writing than JPG. I enjoy the premise of the site and how it is arranged. Rather than updating your profile, you make changes to a “travelogue”. It is this attention to detail that helps the magazine stand out.
There is something unique about being the first person to create a location or help build on what is already there. Of course, the two locations that I submitted articles and photographs for have already been created, but the next two have not yet been added to the site, so I am looking forward to starting it off right. Or at least a humble attempt.
While I have held JPG in my hands and admired the quality of the printing, I have not yet done so with Everywhere. Since it is produced by the same folks, I have no doubts that the quality would be any less than JPG.
Here are the two articles I have submitted thus far, with two more in the works:
Oh, speaking of JPG, here is one of my more recent submissions to the theme “Fresh“:

If you haven’t already done so, you can sign up for a free issue of Everywhere here – https://everywheremag.com/subscribe/trial.
The sneak peak of the next issue is up on the site, and I may be biased, but it looks even better in print.

Thanks for checking in Devin. If Everywhere is printed as JPG is, then I have no doubts about the quality of the final product.
