October 8th was a date in which I would reach a personal milestone.  The annual juried photography show at Arts Clayton gallery is one that I have regularly participated in for nearly 5 years now.  Each year it gets better.  Each year it gets tougher.  To be awarded Best of Show for the event left me speechless. As some of you know, my two year term as president of the Visual Artists Collective of Henry County, Inc. has drawn to a close this year.  In order to devote my time elsewhere, I have opted not to run again as an officer in the organization and have turned it over to another group of very qualified and talented people.  Without being the leader of the group, I felt more at ease about entering one of the competitions and was quite glad that I did when I learned the results.
