October 8th was a date in which I would reach a personal milestone. The annual juried photography show at Arts Clayton gallery is one that I have regularly participated in for nearly 5 years now. Each year it gets better. Each year it gets tougher. To be awarded Best of Show for the event left me speechless. Read more »

2008 was quite good for me in terms of my professional work, freelance work, and general hobbyist activities. I received a national level award and two state level awards at work. Personally, I received a national level award, four local awards, and have been included in a variety of press and publications. I have been blessed and look forward to seeing what 2009 holds. I received word last week that one of my City Hall East photos was selected as the winner for the Creative Loafing Flickr contest. Rarely do I win anything. And by rarely I of course mean…never. You can tell that I never win anything because I thought the mail was spam at first.
So this was a nice treat on a Friday afternoon. I won a pair of tickets to see REM at Lakewood.
